During the month June last year Obama made a special speech at Cairo University to address various Muslim countries of the world. This was his first speech which he addressed to especially Muslims not only in the capacity of US President but also as a fellow Muslim, since Obama’s father was also a Muslim. The purpose of his address to Muslim world was to diffuse the tensions that are prevailing in various souths East Asian region and various terrorist activities that are threatening the world. His speech was welcomed with huge round of applause. He expressed hope at the end of his hour long speech that the mutual distrust that has engulfed among the Muslims around the world would end soon.
